An author module would not have to a child module creating a reference (by defining a single or multi reference field) to this module from within any other module should be more then enough. For myself I only would create a parent child relation when neither can exist without the other one present a track cannot exist without a cd, a cd is useless without tracks.

Users are perfectly free to create any kind of relation. Sorry for not keeping you up to date on your request!ĥ) Parent Child modules: the audio cd module and the audio track module is good example for this. I have send them an email requesting access for Data Crow but have not gotten response so far.

I did look into Fantastic Fiction but was unable to pull any data of their website as this all CGI based. I can promise I will be adding more online searches. But I never thought of an SMS featue! Something worth to investigate.Ĥ) Although I have been promising to add more online searches I had so much work to do on the base functionality. Hopefully I can find a good one and integrate it into Data Crow.ģ) After the 3.0 production version I will be working on allowing users to access their information online. However I am looking into 3rd party xsl template design programs (as I have no intention on creating this myself).

For now, you would need to either add a new template or copy and modify an existing one. It sounds more like a bug.Ģ) As I chose for using xsl templates to base the reports on, users have no control over the fields in the report (from within Data Crow). Thanks so much for all your incredible work!ġ) I will look into this one.

I'm not sure I fully grasp the ramifications (and benefits) of creating a relation based on the help.Ħ) I don't have any real thoughts on the coins and wine (postage stamps?) modules though I imagine to some they could prove valuable. It probably would not be practical to pull down a publisher's works however but for author and artist I would think it would not be too much data-assuming the data is available somewhere online anyway.ĥ) Should multiple child modules be related to a parent like author & publisher to a book? Currently it looks like only 1 can be related. I would be cool of author pulled a bibliography of their works or the same for a musician having their discography pulled down. This is related to some earlier posts of mine for such sites as Barnes & Noble, Fantastic Fiction, powell's and maybe others for books at least.

I know I often find myself at the store and wish I had my want list with me so getting it on my phone easily would be cool.Ĥ) Can Data Crow pull from more online sources (user selectable on/off). It could be done manually now I suspect by customizing a report and sending it manually but might be an interesting feature to consider. With this you could SMS to your phone a want list for instance for easy access. I figure both are possible with custom reports but I would think would be popular choices so might be nice to have built in.ģ) It would be cool to have an option to send a list/report to an SMS device like a phone. It would also be nice if every other row was shaded for easier reading across the page by default. This might be by design but it would be nice to have an easy option to leave out images without having to custom build a report if possible. I think the program is really good even where it is now but you asked for input so here are some ideas I've had about it.ġ) The description window vertical scroll bar hides the right couple characters of text when present.Ģ) When a list report is generated the book cover is include even if the copy cover is unchecked. Here are some thoughts I have after playing with Beta 2 for a bit.
